Collections of fossil vertebrates, invertebrates
except for insects and plants are housed in the laboratory of
Geology. Collections of rocks and minerals also are kept. These
collections now number about 28,000 (lots).
Because the fossil collections cover almost taxa of organisms,
the size of specimens are widely variable, from whales over
20 meters to microscopic pollens or foraminifera. |
