Evolution of life
The long history since the origin of life about 3.8 billion years ago has increased the diversity in the global biota. This great diversity of creation and shape of various organisms is the result of evolution. Diversity is the key to solving the mystery of evolution. Let us step into the world of biodiversity.
19 Speciation
Species is the most basic group for organisms to live and maintain strain.
Organisms live divided in various species. Each species have their own way to gain food, protect themselves, and strive to produce a lot of offspring. The life of an individual is limited, however, the species has unlimited potential. Species change and evolve over time, and can be divided into more species.
20 Dispersal
Organisms have a certain habitant. They live their daily life and produce offspring there, however, sometimes they move beyond the area. It helps to look for marriage partners or to expand the living place. Plants are not an exception even though they live in the ground putting down roots, and can live by producing nutrition by themselves with only soil, water, air and sunlight.
21 Coevolution
Organisms all live in various relationships with other organisms. Relationships of organisms to be seen nowadays such as eat or be eaten, and cooperation between organisms are formed over a long history of an organism's evolution.
22 Evolutionary diversity of insects
The number of known species of insects that live on Earth at present day is approximately 1 million species, adding unknown species, the number is said to be more than 5 million species, which exceeds 3/4 of entire animal population on Earth.
23 Zoogeography of insects
Why are living insects different from place to place? And why is the living area fixed for each species of insect? That is because original groups were born as the result of evolution of insects that occurred there with such factors not only as current climate or vegetation and geographical features such as sea and mountain, but also difference in the history of the land.
Since Insect fauna in a region were established historically in this way, it will reveal not only the current distribution, but also the path of evolution of a species and the group of each insect when you think about its structure.
24 Sea as the cradle of life
It was the sea where the first life was born. The newly born primitive life has been differentiated into various types of organisms along with making a more advanced body construction over a long period of several hundred million years. The diversity of organisms on current Earth is the result of such evolution and the sea has become the stage.

25 Whence come we?
Where did we humans come from? When we compare various kinds of mammal skeletons, we can see that the basic shape changes according to genealogical relationship and life, and it is true for skeletons of humans as well. Even comparing parts other than skeletons, we can see that humans are definitely members of the mammal species, and it shows that humans evolved from mammals.
